1. About Story Builder
Story Builder ("the Service") is operated by Vibe Coding Kids ("we," "us," or "our"). Story Builder is an AI-powered tool that lets families create personalized, illustrated picture books for children ages 3–12. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate story text and illustrations based on user input.
2. Age Requirements and Parental Consent
Story Builder is designed for children to use with parental supervision. To comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations:
- Account creation is restricted to parents or legal guardians who are at least 18 years old. Children may not create accounts.
- By creating an account, you represent that you are a parent or legal guardian and that you consent to your child's use of the Service under your supervision.
- Parents are responsible for all activity that occurs under their account, including any content created by their children while using the Service.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All data collection occurs through the parent's account. See our Privacy Policy for details.
3. Account Registration
To save stories and access paid features, you must create an account using a valid email address. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your account credentials secure.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
4. AI-Generated Content
Story Builder uses artificial intelligence (including third-party AI services) to generate story text and illustrations. Regarding AI-generated content:
- Your stories are yours. You retain ownership of the stories you create using the Service, including the specific combination of your inputs and AI-generated outputs.
- We grant you a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, share, print, and display the stories you create for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- AI-generated content may occasionally produce unexpected or imperfect results. We make reasonable efforts to ensure age-appropriate content but cannot guarantee perfection in every case.
- You agree not to use the Service to intentionally generate harmful, inappropriate, or offensive content.
- We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve the Service, but we will not use your specific story content for training AI models without your consent.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Story Builder offers both free and paid subscription plans:
- Free tier: You may create one story without a subscription to try the Service.
- Paid plans: Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor. Prices are listed on our pricing page.
- Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless canceled before the renewal date.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified via email before any price changes take effect.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe you were charged in error.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to generate content that is violent, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate for children.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
- Resell or redistribute AI-generated content for commercial purposes without our written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
7. Content Moderation and Safety
We take children's safety seriously:
- AI-generated content is designed to be age-appropriate. We use content filters and safety measures to prevent generation of inappropriate material.
- We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict access to any content that violates these Terms or poses safety concerns.
- If you encounter any inappropriate content generated by the Service, please contact us immediately so we can address it.
8. Intellectual Property
The Story Builder platform, including its design, code, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by Vibe Coding Kids. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from our platform. Your right to use the Service is limited to the license granted in these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be error-free, fully accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose. We make reasonable efforts to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vibe Coding Kids shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will end.
- Your stories may be deleted after a reasonable retention period (see our Privacy Policy).
- Any active subscription will be canceled.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
